Google Marketing Tools for Website Tracking and Analytics:

Google Inc. (“Google”) offers a number of marketing and analytics services through its Google Marketing Platform.  This website primarily uses three components from this platform:  1) Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and 3) Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio).

Google Tag Manager is used to deploy some tracking tags on this website, including tags that enable Google Analytics tracking.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service.  Google Analytics uses cookies to collect non-personally identifiable information that can be used to analyze how website visitors use the website.  The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is transmitted to and stored by Google.  Google Analytics may collect clickstream and browsing data, information about your device, operating system, and browser, and other data that can be helpful for understanding website activity.

Google Analytics, through Google’s cookies, also captures the IP address of the device used to visit our website.  Google Analytics uses IP addresses to provide and protect the security of the service, and to give website owners a sense of where, geographically, their visitors come from (also known as “IP geolocation”).  However, Google does not share the actual IP addresses with their Google Analytics customers (in this case, Neon Pathways).

Neon Pathways uses information from Google Analytics to evaluate visitors’ use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity.  Neon Pathways utilizes the Google Analytics Demographic and Interest Reporting feature, which is part of Google Analytics for Display Advertisers, for their website reporting.  This feature provides additional visitor data (such as age, gender, and interests) for the website traffic.  As with all Google Analytics data, this data is not personally identifiable.

Neon Pathways will not (and will not allow any third party to) use the Google Analytics service to track, collect or upload any data that personally identifies an individual (such as a name, email address or billing information), or other data which can be reasonably linked to such information by Google.  We will not circumvent any privacy features (such as an opt-out) that are part of the Google Analytics service and will comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the collection of information from visitors.

Neon Pathways uses Looker Studio, formerly Google Data Studio, to analyze the data collected by Google Analytics.  Data from Google Analytics, as well as from other sources, can be made accessible to Looker Studio so that its enhanced visualization capabilities can be used for analysis and reporting.

Remarketing

Remarketing, or retargeting, is an online advertising practice where companies show ads to people who have previously visited their website or performed a specific action.  Remarketing is typically enabled by social media platforms and online advertising networks that use cookies, web beacons, and other storage technologies to collect information from websites.  They use this information to then display interest-based ads to people based on their previous actions.  These ads may be shown across a variety of websites and apps.  See the sections above for more information on cookies and how Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn may perform remarketing.

Neon Pathways may use third-party partners, such as social media partners, to show interest-based ads through remarketing.  As described above in the “With whom do we share the personal information we obtain” section, we will only share information with these partners that is necessary to conduct normal business practices (in this case, performing remarketing and other advertising services).  As described in the “How we protect the personal information we obtain” section, we will protect any personal information we obtain and our third-party partners will protect any information they receive according to their respective privacy policies.

You have the ability to opt out of most interest-based advertising networks, including Facebook and LinkedIn.  You can learn more and opt out of these networks by visiting https://www.aboutads.info/choices or https://youronlinechoices.eu.  Neon Pathways does not control or operate these sites and takes no responsibility for the content, opt-out functions, or other actions available on these sites.  Please read these sites carefully to understand how they enable advertising network opt-outs.

It is important to know that blocking cookies, opting out of online interest-based marketing, or selecting other opt-outs does not prevent you from receiving other forms of marketing from us.
